William Mosebach is an Army Vet having served four plus years as an Airborne Medic in the 2-503rd 173rd Infantry Battalion in Vicenza, Italy. During his service he was deployed to Northern Iraq and inserted by means of a Combat Jump, the first and only during the war, where he spent a year fighting with and tending to the wounds of brothers that he will never forget. William says “We decided that we needed a cause. Who can help these military families ? Who helps their children? Well, now I have an answer… We do.”
Kristen Creech, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida was inspired to hike from Maine to Florida because she wants to help an amazing cause.
“I have had a lot of friends in my life going in and out of the Military, I have said goodbye to some and never got to see them again. I have seen the effects on their families and loved one’s. It’s a pain nobody should ever have to go through and if I am able to say I have helped, even in a little way, I will walk to the ends of the earth.”
Active Heroes is looking for local people and companies all along the route who would like to make any type of donations or sponsorships toward their hike. All donations made go to help US military families in need.
