We are so excited to announce the graduation of our Leadership team!
The Legendary Leaders team worked with Active Heroes, a charity for veterans, active duty military and their families. The team’s work resulted in a business and strategic plan to support the design, development and implementation of the Active Heroes Retreat Center.
The land and passion existed, but Active Heroes needed a “roadmap” to ensure completion and sustainability of the retreat. The team researched and developed each aspect of the plan, from mission and vision to market analysis and fundraising, creating a practical, working document that will give Active Heroes the tools needed to make this retreat a reality. Additional outcomes include development of key partnerships, design/construction consultation and long-term support through board service, consultation and volunteer roles.
I was so honored and grateful to have participated in the Leadership Louisville Center’s Ignite Louisville Class of 2014.” Said Shelby Dehner, Team Legendary Leaders. “Over the past 7 months, I’ve been able to get to know 52 amazing young professionals who have dedicated their time and energy to improving their own leadership skills and bettering our community. I’m particularly proud to be a part of Team Legendary Leaders and helping the Active Heroes.”
A partnership with Sullivan University resulted after the development of the strategic plan. Sullivan University has worked with Active Heroes to design over a dozen free seminars to build upon education and skill development. The seminars cover a wide range of 90 minute discussions including conflict management, resume building, job interview skills and how to budget. Additionally, Sullivan University will provide volunteer work, selected catering opportunities for veterans and massage therapy volunteer hours for military spouses.
