Active Heroes Retreat Center to Host Ribbon Cutting for Dog Park and Amphitheater
Ceremony Includes music from Tyler Warden and John D’Amato and Trouble Junction
LOUISVILLE, KY (June 11, 2019) – The Active Heroes Retreat Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of their Dog Park and Amphitheater on Saturday, June 15 starting at 3p.m. The Active Heroes Retreat Center is located at 1022 Ridgeview Drive, Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
Active Heroes in partnership with Feeders Supply Company and Kentucky Air national Guard “Port Dawgs” will cut the ribbon on the dog park at 3 p.m. This dog park will allow veterans the opportunity to travel with their service dog or family pet to the retreat. Feeders Supply raised $1,110.34 in donations in their stores that they matched 100% for a grand total donation of $2,220.86. The Kentucky Air National Guard “Port Dawgs” donated the labor of installing the fence.

Starting at 4pm, Active Heroes will host a second ribbon cutting for the amphitheater which has been supported by UPS, The Home Depot and UAW Ford. Following the ribbon cutting music starts with singer song writer Tyler Warden and the headlining rock and blues musical act; John Damato and Trouble Junction.
Food and drinks will be sold. The event is free for military families and only $10 a ticket for civilians. There are also options for civilians to purchase founding memberships while they last.
“This is a huge milestone for the Active Heroes Retreat Center,” said Troy Yocum, President of Active Heroes. “These additions to the retreat will allow more military families to enjoy music and pets at the location while ongoing phase 1 construction is being wrapped up on several projects. We are proud to have these soft opening events for the public this year!”
