Have you heard about Active Heroes Gaming for Heroes?
We have 24-hour streams for gaming! This past week we had two amazing gamers run streams on our website at https://activeheroes.org/gaming-active-heroes/ through Twitch. These military supporters, RealRennyT and Always_forward_gaming, streamed for 24 hours and raised more than $1000.00 for our Heroes! At the start of the streams, you will hear them mention their passion for Active Heroes and their mission to end veteran suicide.
These gaming events are so much fun! If you love to play games and want to get to know other veterans or active duty members, this is the perfect social activity for you. Not only do our gamers get to play games together, but also they get to know each other. The camaraderie during the game is strong and the therapeutic activity of just playing the games is known to help those who suffer from PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
Renny mentions, “We are thankful for everything that Active Heroes does,”
Renny we are thankful for everything you do! Your streaming event brought together quite a few great people and we hope you all enjoyed your gaming experience.

You guys Rock!
Gaming For Heroes is a charity program with a purpose coordinated by volunteer Team Leaders for Active Heroes, a 501c3 Charity.
The event is part of the Active Challenges Program at Active Heroes.
These events continue to get veterans engaged in social activities. Participants generate significant awareness toward ending veteran suicide and build bonds with thousands of veterans in every state and military instalations across the world online.
The primary purposes of these events are to reduce veteran suicide by:
• Establishing camaraderie to cope with post traumatic stress (anger, depression, loneliness, substance abuse and suicidal tendencies). Uniting veterans, families and supporters to care for each other in times of need.
• Training Team Leaders (streamers) how to interact with suicidal veterans and the steps to assist them. Each team leader receives a three-year certificate as a peer mentor.
• Developing viewers of the streams into peer mentors and ambassadors who support struggling families and/or veterans.
• Providing impactful interactions with veterans who have a passion for gaming.
