Altar’d State is a national retail clothing store that houses cute little knick-knacks, trendy clothes with a comfy swagger, and most recently pretty awesome masks. They not only have an inventory that is awesome, they have hearts that rock! They participate in many giving endeavors, for example each year during the holidays they allow employees to use paid time to volunteer for good causes. They also have a giving day, during this day they support local charities by donating a percentage of their sales to that charity.

This month they chose us! Active Heroes is the proud recipient of a, little over, $1300.00 check as a donation to our heroes. Our Executive Administrative Assistant went to the store location in the Oxmoor Mall to meet the manager and some of the staff to pickup the generous gift.

During her visit, she met with the staff and spoke with them about why they enjoy the giving day. One staff member proudly stated, ” I love giving back. I stand at the front of the store with a big smile on my face and proudly tell any customer that comes in, we are giving part of our profit today to a charity. I was so happy to support Active Heroes. We really respect what you guys do”.
