The Veterans Crisis Line connects Veterans in crisis and their families and friends with qualified, caring Department of Veterans Affairs responders through a confidential toll-free hotline, online chat, or text. Veterans and their loved ones can call 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, chat online, or send a text message to 838255 to receive confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Support for deaf and hard of hearing individuals is available.

JOIN A FREE EVENT AND CONNECT WITH OTHER VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES
Active Heroes is hosting nearly 200 events across the United States in 2015, including those at our community center, miltary family retreat, Carry the Fallen ruck marches, Crossfit events and more.
Each and every event is an opportunity to meet other veterans and military families and help build camaraderie.

VISIT THE MILITARY FAMILY RETREAT OR SIGN UP FOR THE NEXT CAMPING DATE

The retreat is a one of a kind place of healing from the visible and invisible wounds of war that combines integration, nature, outdoor activities, physical activities and family building challenges! This will be the first retreat in America that is stream lined for military families. No long application process and no long waiting list.
Military families will be able to show up with their DD214, VA Card or active duty military card and get in for free to enjoy great outdoor activities and our new “Healing Areas”. The nature park will be open to the public to help with the integration healing for military families.
VISIT THE MILITARY FAMILY COMMUNITY CENTER OR SIGN UP FOR FREE EVENTS AND SEMINARS
The Active Heroes Military Family Community Center is located in Fern Creek, Louisville, KY and serves as the welcome center for the Retreat in Shepherdsville. It is midway between the Retreat Center and Downtown Louisville and offers a number of programs on a weekly basis.
Programs include: Crossfit, Yoga, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Self Defense Classes, Resume Building Seminars, Financial Planning Seminars, and Resiliency Training.

Sullivan University has established a scholarship in honor and support of Active Heroes. They are offering one full tuition scholarship for an Associates Degree and one half tuition scholarship for a Bachelors Degree.
Sullivan University assists veterans to prepare for fulfilling careers after military service, with emphasis on business and technology-related fields. Our fundamental objective is to enhance the educational and professional development of veterans.

Active Heroes helps military families by providing community outreach, volunteer projects and home repairs for military families. Our Community outreach additionally educates the public of the challenges and needs of veterans and their families.
