Active Heroes is looking to hire a part-time Housekeeper at our Retreat for our guest cabins. This position will share in a variety of duties including, but not limited to the cleanliness of guest rooms, decks, and immediate ground areas of the guest cabins at the Retreat. The housekeeper will maintain compliance with the regulations of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). This position reports directly to the Facility Manager.

Job Description:

• • Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub guest rooms and bathrooms as necessary.
  • Replace bed linens and replenish guest room supplies.
  • Clear out the fridge and tidy the kitchen area to the standard setup.
  • Wipe down all surfaces, including mirrors and décor as needed.
  • Clean and tidy cabins to the standard of cleanliness within time limits.
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment in good condition.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and act in line with company policies.
  • Communicate maintenance issues to the Facility Manager using appropriate methods.
  • Assist in deep cleaning projects as instructed.

Qualifications:

• • Love to provide guests with a positive and memorable experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent and appropriate communication skills.
  • Must be available on-call, including weekends.
  • May routinely lift heavy objects up to 25+ pounds.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Enjoy hands-on work.

Qualifications:

• • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer.
  • Demonstrate proper safety when using equipment and tools.
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and stairs, stand, walk, and turn/pivot frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to work 8 – 10-hour shifts, as necessary.
  • May routinely lift heavy objects up to 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to various weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Ability to work with vibration from tools and equipment.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Enjoy hands-on work.
  • Basic math and English skills

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• • Minimum 1+ year of housekeeping experience.
  • Experience in hotel housekeeping preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.
