Operation R&R gives disabled and combat veterans a cost-free escape at the Active Heroes Retreat. Spend time with family or friends, reconnect with nature, and recharge in one of our fully-equipped cabins, all made possible by generous donors.

Confirm Eligibility
Operation R&R is open to U.S. military veterans who aredisabled or combat-classified.
Gather Your Documents
Have a digital copy of yourDD-214 orMilitary ID ready to upload.
Complete the Online Application
- You’ll provide basic contact details, branch of service, and the state you’re traveling from.
- Tell us why a restorative stay would help you; who will join you, what you hope to do while here and how financial assistance will make it possible.
Submit & Wait for Confirmation
Our team reviews applications on a rolling basis. Approved guests will receive a confirmation email with available dates and next-step instructions.

Your donation covers lodging, utilities, and on-site support so veterans can focus on healing at no cost to them. A single sponsorship funds a minimum 3-night stay for one family, while recurring gifts through ourGuardian Program help sustain free stays for veteran families every long.
